On Monday (July 9th), Noah will be celebrating his 3rd birthday at school. So, this weekend we had some birthday prep to do, goodie bags, a slideshow of Noah over the years, and some cupcakes. Noah was involved on all fronts. First, he made little thank you for celebrating with me cards. He stamped each one with one of his new stamps (an early birthday present) and put a sticker - then maman wrote a colorful Noah (Noah of course chose the colors) and a "thank you for celebrating with me" in the back.
Then he stuffed the goodie bags... first a mint mentos, then a mini M&M pack, then a pink mentos, then a multicolored pen, then an eraser, then the little thank you for celebrating with me card, and finally a ball of play-foam... then repeat...
... 14 times - almost there - one more to go!
When we asked him what cake he wanted for his birthday - he replied - I want to make chocolate cupcakes with m&ms on top... here he is melting chocolate for the cupcakes.
Then pouring the cupcake mixture into the pan.
Putting some sprinkles on after cooking and icing...
Each cupcake got 4 m&ms - here Noah counting the m&ms to make sure he put the right number on.
All done!
That's worth a big smile...
Birthday prep was a success! Noah enjoyed the whole process - though tasting a cupcake to make sure they are good and "cleaning up" the sprinkles off the table (ie eating them) probably were the highlights!
