May 1: I spent part of the morning figuring out how to take apart various pens & put them back together again. Seem familiar?
May 2: The other day, I went to Sentosa with Daniel. We had a good time running around in the "cave".
May 3: This weekend, I met up with Katy and her parents at the zoo. We played in the (empty) kangaroo crate.
Mary 3: Drawing in the shower with my new crayon. Can you spot the F and the P?
May 4: At last week's playdate with Katy's, we played with many toys including her strollers and babies...
May 4: What can I say? Pushing a stroller is pretty fun (although I try to push mine, it is still a bit big for me to push on my own).
May 4: NQ: Noah, can you say water in Chinese? Me: "water in Chinese".
May 5: Audrey, what is that? Cheese? Really? So our moms finally found a place to buy affordable cheese around here?
May 5: Five colors: green.
May 6: After playing under the hot sun, Jelia, my 3 year-old school friend, and I took a water break.
May 6: Today I had my first school outing. We went to the zoo and I even got to feed the kangaroos.
May 8: NQ: Noah, can you tell a joke? Me: "No." Pause. "Joke".
May 8: On Saturday, I went to Audi's birthday party. It was me and eleven 7 year old girls... needless to say, I had a blast. [and I am not being ironic... have not yet mastered that nuance!]
May 8: Playing the who eats what puzzle game in maman's fuzzy pink slippers.
May 9: Feeding the lories with Daddy.
May 9: That night, Daddy and I cooked (well I washed the mushrooms i.e. petted them under the water while saying "gentils champigons" and we had a nice candlelit dinner.
May 9: Happy mother's day Maman!
May 9: After dinner, I went on my pot. Yipeee!!
May 9: And did some more drawing. Five colors: blue.
May 10: Five colors: yellow.
May 11: Yesterday I turned 22 mos. My unofficial stats: 90cm and 13.5kg. You all must be surprised but it looks like I am still growing!
May 12: Playing choo choo train with Jelia. Off to the refueling station after having dropped off our passengers.
May 13: I had my first nosebleed last night. I hope this is not the beginning of a new trend.
May 14: Reading myself my goodnight story "à l'envers".
May 14: Mmmmmm pretty good banana.
May 14: Today, I bought one orange, one watermelon, 2 bananas, some coffee...
May 14: I think I need a little more cat food.
May 14: The other night, Audi came for a surprise visit. We did some drawing...
May 1: And decorated some pizzas for "movie night" (after watching 20mn at a time for the past months, we finally finished "Happy Feet".
May 14: And when Anna and her friend came to pick up Audi, we read le Loup et L'agneau from my new favorite book.
May 15: I can sing a few songs: baah baah blacksheep, BINGO, twinkle (though I often end up singing a mashup of all my favorite songs).
May 15: I can sing some songs and say some words in Chinese (or at least that's what I let my parents believe when they don't understand me!).
May 15: I can do three-piece puzzles (Mama, if you are reading this, I think it's time to try four-five pieces).
May 15: I don't like: not getting my way (ex: not wearing the clothes I chose, being put in the stroller when I want to walk), eating pasta.
May 15: I also don't like it when people do not pay attention to me.
May 15: Overall, I am at that liminal point between fully talking and saying a few garbled words. Such an exciting and fun time.
May 15: I am stubborn and can get a bit pesky when I don't get my way but can generally be persuaded (via reason or other fun things) to drop it.
May 15: Overall, I am a happy smiley cuddly boy who chatters gaily to himself while playing, running around or hugging and kissing all around.

May 15: I had a good surprise prepared for maman this morning. I sang the alphabet...in Spanish. Thanks for the Spanish-speaking table GG & Grandpa!
May 15: Finally, my 22mos post; at 22 mos, I still like food especially fruit, tomatoes and rice and still don't really like pasta.
May 15: My favorite books are: Where the Wild Things are, Les Fables de la Fontaine (which we got from the French library) and Printemps.
May 15: My best friends are Audi, Audi, Audi and Katy, Daniel, Anna, Liann, Matthias, Jeanne and Kfir.
May 15: I love receiving my monthly books from the French and English libraries. I love playing in the water. I love going to school & my teachers.
May 15: I love playing imaginary games: feeding animals, shopping for groceries & taking out the trash for the gremlins, playing doc with my bear.
May 15: I love playing: find the kangaroo, popi, watermelon...
May 15: I love drawing on paper and on my shower door especially "etoiles, coconut & poissons".
May 15: I love helping in the kitchen especially washing the "gentils champignons", decorating pizzas and cookies and tasting the food.
May 15: I love playing with the camera and taking pictures. This was my first picture....

May 15: I love choosing my own clothes: "T-shirt train" with "jeans" if my favorite combo these days.
May 15: My favorite words are: "Yata stop that", "encore un autre", "coconut", "ummmmmm", and "eat".
May 15: I can sing the alphabet in English, French and Spanish (though my diction can get a bit garbled at times).
May 15: I can count to 10 in English and French.
May 15: I can recognize short written words like cat, pup, ox in my books & still know all the capital letters & some lower cap letters.
May 15: I can make friends with anyone and everyone regardless of age (though I do seem to have a preference for older (3-15) women).
May 15: I am very good at begging for food. I can always find someone to give me some sweets or fruit or rice or kaya toast.
May 15: I understand jokes (especially when told it was a joke) and tell a few jokes myself.
May 15: I can say many many words and phrases. At 22 months, my longest phrase was 5 words long but I usually use 3 word phrases.
May 17: A few more things: I love going shopping and looking at and naming all the fruit and vegetable.
May 17: Although I am now talking, I still sometimes use some signs for emphasis, across the park communication and/or increased comprehension.
May 17: My most used signs are: more, strawberry, orange, bird, diaper, plane, rabbit, and mango usually paired with the English or French word.
May 17: I use the big boy toilet to pee when offered the choice and have just started asking beforehand to go pee in the toilet.
May 17: I get a star on my board for each pee and after five stars, a little car. I already have nine cars! Caca however is still a diaper affair.

May 29: I have a new nighttime tradition: I cuddle with maman & dad on the couch in the darkened living room watching for lightening (splat, splat)...
May 29: While we lie in the dark watching for lightening, we listen to music, tell stories, hug and kiss. What a nice end to the day.
May 30: At my friend Luna's birthday party this weekend, I played with many toys including this top. It seems to work better when I put a hand on my head rather than on on the top!
