Twitter: March 2011- Friends and School

March 3: This morning I explained to maman that Charles and NiCole took a plane to go see their TWO cats. 

March 3: Then I pointed to myself and said Noah cat one (well my version of "un") and lifted one finger.

March 3: When my surprised maman asked me how many cats C&N had I again said 2 and said I had 1.

March 3: Also this morning, maman told me "ton livre est à l'envers. Retourne le" and with no other prompting, I did!

March 3: I am now interested in talking and I am starting to talk more and more these days.

March 3: I have opinions about everything these days & I like to share them. When mam picks out my clothes I ask for my jeans or flowery suit.

March 3: When Maman or tata NiCole get dressed I request they wear a dress with flowers (I even think dad should wear one).

March 3: I know exactly what books I want to read and remember and ask for books I have not read in a while.

March 3: Hanging out at my friend Ziad's party last weekend.

March 3: The party then moved to the pool. 

March 3: Still not sure what color my eyes are. Green? Hazel? Brown?

March 4: I just went to the doc for my shots... I am 88cm tall they told me. No wonder I have been hungry recently.

March 4: I was very excited to go see the doc and asked about it all morning and dragged maman to the door a few times chanting docteur.

March 4: They gave me some magic liquid and now I will not get all kinds of nasty diseases. Pretty cool.

March 4: Hmmm - maman just measured me and found 86cm... Who is right?

March 5: On my playdate with Daniel last week, we walked across the boardwalk to Sentosa. 

March 5: Playing with Daniel in the Sentosa candy store. I really like this flower fan. 

March 5: Daniel and I had a great time playing in the fountains (before the tropical storm hit). 

March 7: Words, words, words. I am saying so many new ones a day, I can't even keep track anymore.

March 9: For my 20 month bday, I got two new canines for a total of at least 14 teeth (there may be a few extra hiding).

March 9: Tomorrow I get to check out my new school and classmates. I think I am very excited.

March 10: Last weekend, I went to the zoo. Here I am doing one of my favorite things at the zoo: washing my hands at the kangaroo exhibit.

March 10: Off to school orientation. I had such a great time playing with the cars and playdo and toys and kids, I did not want to go home.

March 10: I just ate all of manan and dada's kimchi and still asking for more!

March 10: Today, I turned 20 months old and I went to school for the first time! I then had lunch at a nearby cafe which has a children's corner.

March 10: In the afternoon, my friend Daniel came over for a drink.

March 10: And some shop talk. 

March 10: And some typical male bonding. 

March 10: We then played in cushion ocean. 

March 10: Cushion ocean was fun. 

March 10: Don't worry Daniel, I think I see the shore.

March 10: After this long and arduous day, I relaxed in my chair and read for a bit. 

March 10: The main change in my life in the last month has been language-related. I speak more and more and more and more clearly.

March 10: I am saying so many new words per day that I can't even keep track anymore.

March 11 Ooops - my maman missed a molar. I have 15 teeth! Four molars, three canines (and 1 more on the way) and the 8 in the middle. 

March 11: I helped make dinner tonight: I washed the mushrooms and eggplant, I helped butter the pizza dish and assemble the pizza.

March 12:  Making cookies with Dada. 

March 14: Nothing tastes as good as homemade cookies (well maybe except strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, dragon fruit, oranges).

March 14: Maman it's time to go to school. 

March 14: I was very impatient to head to my first official day of school this morning and unlocked the door, put my shoes on and stood by the elevator. I really wanted to play with those cars.

March 14: I love the indoor common area at my school. There are slides, tents, houses, cars, tricycles, rocking horses, books and all kinds of lego-like toys.

March 14: I had a great time at school again today. I played in the common room. And did some painting, drawing and music. And they even fed me fruit, rice and veggies.

March 14: I have 16 teeth! My last canine has pushed its way out. Four more teeth to go!

March 17: With school come school germs. It did not take very long. I woke up this morning with a fever and even turned down sushi at lunch time!

March 20: Just wanted to say my fever did not last long and I am back to my old shenanigans.

March 20: I peed in the pot twice in the last two days. Dupont the bear only peed once in the pot.

March 21: Today (like most Mondays), I had my playdate with Kathrine. I look forward to playing with her and chant Katy Katy expectedly in anticipation.

March 22: My parents just bought me this amazing new toy: a tunnel with a working door. First I decorated it with some drawings.

March 22: I drew a fish and even remembered to draw the fish's eye (I love drawing fish and am getting pretty good at it or so my parents tell me).

March 22: I then added a few stickers. 

March 22: After all this work, I decided to put off the last decorations till tomorrow and crawl into my tunnel but then I realized somebody else had taken the spot.

March 22: Can you find me? 

March 22: Peek-a-boo! I had a great time playing with my new toy...

March 26: Today, I went to the Singapore Biennale at the old Kallang Airport. Here I am with Daddy at one of the installations.

March 26: I am getting better at peeing in the pot. Each time I pee, I get a star. After five stars, I get a little car. I have 2 cars already!

March 26: These days I can be a bit cranky & whiny. Maman & Daddy think it is because I am getting used to my new school routine. TBC...

March 27: I can sort of count to 10. Mam said un, deux, trois &  to her surprise I added quatre, cinq, six. Then she said 7, 8, 9  and I said dix!

March 27: I repeated the feat various times including switching around who says what numbers. I also recognize 1-10 and can generally identify them.

March 27: I wore pull-up diapers for the 1st time today. I was very excited and wanted to change diapers all the time to put on my big boy diapers.

March 27: I am speaking more and more. A few of my favorite words are coconut, backpack, Audi (for Audrey), tapir, tigre, printemps, & of course, eat.

March 28: On Sunday, I went to the zoo with my friend Stella (not my Nyon neighbor Stella). We held hands the entire time. Here we are looking at the parrots.

March 28: Off to see the white tigers. 

March 28: Stella is a year older than I am and she explained many things to me. 

March 28: We tried to go see the elephant show. I clapped and clapped but it did not start. Luckily, we were able to catch the sea lion show.

March 28: I even tried to show off my fangs to entice the elephants to start their show but they did not seem impressed. 

March 28: That afternoon, I invited Audrey and her sister Anna to bake and decorate some cookies. Audrey helped me roll out the dough.

March 28: Then we made various shapes out of the dough (I liked the bear and the stars). 

March 28: After baking the cookies, we put some icing...

March 28: And sprinkles. 

March 28: Look at my cute star. Mmmmmm.

March 28: My cookies... 

March 29: When I got home from school. I requested milk, milk, milk. See how good I am getting with a cup! 

March 29: Kathy, doesn't this bear look just like the stuffed animal in the story? 

March 30: Today I did not cry at all at school even when maman said goodbye. I like school.

March 31: I have my first dentist's appointment today. Just a routine check to make sure everything looks good. Hope it does.
