February 1: My first dinner and a movie (well 1/10th of a movie: the aristocats).
February 1: I love trains. Choo choo!
February 4: It is official: I now have 12 teeth (and a few more on their way I think)!
February 6: Last weekend, I went to Ikea to try out some chairs. This one is ok.
February 6: This one is pretty good. A bit big perhaps.
February 6: And the winner...
February 6: This weekend, for the Chinese new year, we went to Sentosa for the Flower Show, look what I found instead.
February 6: I also found this sculpture lying around.
February 6: After the flowers, an invigorating nap and lunch, I went to play in the water by the beach.
February 6: My parents caught me here engrossed in one of my favorite activities, reading:
February 16: Last week, I turned 19 months old. To celebrate I went to a farm with my friend Daniel and his mom.
February 16: I loved feeding the rabbits (though I sometimes tried to eat the carrots myself).
February 16: After feeding the rabbits, I got to ride one...
February 16: I then chased after some big birds trying to feed them.
February 16: Finally, I got pretty close and was able to give him some bread.
February 16: That evening, I got to taste a piece of home-made crepe with nutella ...
February 16: Smile...
February 16: Think of flowers...
February 16: Say "riz"...
February 16: Hmm, I think I need to work on my "natural smile".
February 16: For my 19 months, let me walk you through a "typical" day in my life as a 19 month old.
February 16: Usually, I wake up between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning. I have my milk, change and then read some books for a while.
February 16: After a breakfast of either fruit or kaya toast, I head to the playground downstairs (usually around 10:30 or so).
February 16: After over an hour playing and running around, I go back up for some lunch and a nap (from about 1 to 2pm).
February 16: In the afternoon, I go to a playdate (Mondays with Kathryn, Tuesdays with Jeanne and Matthias, Wednesdays with Audrey, Thursdays with Daniel). Here I am with Audrey at the flower show in Sentosa.
February 16: As is common in Singapore, we got our pics taken with some tourists.
February 16: And then strolled down to the beach.
February 16: Look, it's right there.
February 16: Playing with my new truck is fun, fun, fun.
February 16: Sometimes, I go on an exercursion for my playdates (like Sentosa, a farm, fidgetts the indoor playground or the zoo) but some other times I just go play in the sand at the nearby playground with my friends.
February 16: Around 4pm, I have my snack (milk and a piece of fruit).
February 16: After the playdate, I head home, change into my "home clothes" and play in my room and read with my maman for a while.
February 16: My dada gets home around 8pm and we have dinner and then I am off to bed.
February 16: My bedtime routine these days consists of a bottle of milk while reading one fish two fish (the fish book), printemps or the mouse book.
February 16: I then brush my teeth (well my maman or dada brush my teeth while singing to me).
February 16: I then read a bedtime story (Goodnight Moon or Bonne Nuit depending on the reader) and then lie down in bed and fall asleep with my music.
February 16: So there you have it.... a typical day in the life of 19 month old Noah!
February 16: 1 addendum: instead of playing at home after a playdate, I often go to the pool or to our playground. It's so nice living in the tropics.
February 17: For a few months now, my parents thought I knew the basic colors but I was still a bit spotty. A few weeks ago, I built a duplo pattern and correctly identified each color.
February 17: Yellow like a banana, green like an apple, red like a strawberry and blue like the water. Since then, I have been coloring the world in.
February 17: I love to stack my stackables by color (event the purple for which I currently don't have a word) and call out the color of cars, shoes...
February 17: It is also now official: I recognize numbers 1-5 (four is still my favorite though. I excitedly say "quatre, quatre" when shown a four).
February 17: I also love to speak/sign along when we read my favorite books. My parents will try to take a video of it to show you.
February 17: Last weekend (Sat. 13 Feb) was the Chinese New Year celebration in my apt complex. Happy year of the bunny everyone.
February 17: That Saturday morning, I woke up with a high fever which lasted 3 days after which I got a rash on my upper torso and back. The Ped said I have roseola my first "child disease".
February 17: I was in a good mood during the fever portion but have been intermittently grouchy and touchy through the rash portion.
February 17: Monday was Valentine's day. I made a card for my Dada. Happy belated Valentine's day loyal twitter followers. Lots of love, hugs and kisses.
February 17: I received my first Valentine's day card (from my friend Audrey).
February 18: I am enrolled in pre-k! I start March 14. Yay - more books and toys and friends.
February 18: And I get to start learning this strange language I have been hearing around here. Pretty soon I will be translating for maman & dada.
February 18t: But more proximate in time: I am so excited to see tonton Charles and Tata Nicole TOMORROW.
February 20: I finally agreed to say my own name yesterday (19th of Feb)! I am Noah!
February 20: For a while now, I have been humming the alphabet sung but yesterday, I sang "A, B, C, D, E hum hum hum".
February 20: Where are the guests? I am ready for fooooood.
February 20: Little Z is here! SO cute. I just want to kiss him.
February 20: Portrait of a visitor: reading with tata NiCole and tonton Charles and snuggling with Kayla the Kiwi (Feb. 19-27 2011).
February 20: What color are your clothes read tonton Charles? This is fun. Can you find the kiwi?
February 20: Boo!
February 21: The new arts science museum is finally open!
February 21: Yippppeeeee!
February 21: Playing with tonton Charles and tata NiCole in front of the funky fountain.
February 22: Yesterday, we went to the zoo. The surprise this time was some live rabbits (and posters of the rabbits).
February 22: And...the sloth we got to see up close.
February 22: Isn't he just adorable?
February 23: Playing with tonton Charles in the pool. Pool patrol to the rescue.
February 23: Last night, my friend let me ride his motorcycle. So much fun.
February 23: For a few weeks now, I have been telling my parents when I did "caca" in my diaper but now I also say when I do "titi".
February 23: Sometimes I pretend I did "caca" so they will pay attention to me and change my diaper.
February 23: I love giving and receiving kisses. Last weekend, I decided ma & dad should kiss and I repeatedly brought their faces together for a smooch.
February 23: Each time, I laughed and then gently pushed their faces back together. My parents thought it was adorable & showered me with hugs and kisses.
February 24: Feeding the lories with tonton Charles and tata NiCole at the bird park.
February 24: Walking across the suspension bridge in the lory loft.
February 24: Tadaaaaa
February 24: After visiting the lory loft, we got caught in the tropical rain and took refuge in the covered playground. Weeeee thanks for the ride tonton Charles!
February 24: And tata NiCole.
February 25: Yesterday, I played with my friend Daniel. We built some duplo towers (and tried to grab each other's duplos).
February 25: We hid in the toy chest.
February 25: We then read with Daniel's mom.
February 25: And when Daniel took a snack break, I got to play with play-do for the first time. I loved smudging it, making snakes and shapes with Maman.
February 25: I do not like repeating words in French or English but was happy repeating Russian words Daniel's mom said. My new favorite word: dai!
February 28: The day before tonton Charles and tata NiCole left for the US, we went to the botanical gardens.
February 28: Tonton helped me smell my favorite flowers.
February 28: And to find my cat, which they had moved.
February 28: Bye Charles & NiCole. I miss you.
